What is ethnic studies and why is it important? In this unit we will explore the sociological theories related to ethnic studies; the significance of ethnic studies in contemporary social, political, and economic contexts; and terms connected to ethnic studies like race, ethnicity, stereotypes, prejudice, nativism, and discrimination.
