Experts on Ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses!
In order to help the Ancient Greeks, you first need to become an expert in the powers of the Ancient Greek gods and goddesses. Once you understand the powers the gods have, it's up to you and your partner, if you have one, to use myths from Ancient Greece as a model to create your own, new myths to help the Ancient Greeks! The events in these new "What If" myths are completely up to you, BUT it is important that the gods and goddesses act and influence others according to their actual characteristics that you discover during the research portion of this project. You and your partner will be working together to research one Ancient Greek god or goddess in depth, create a concept map to organize the information you've learned about the god or goddesses, study real Ancient Greek myths and analyze their influence on the Ancient Greek culture, then write, rehearse, and record your own "What If" myth.
it wasn't just the greeks
People from every part of the world have been telling stories (myths) that try to explain the world around them. If you enjoy the stories ancient Greeks told, check out the links below and read some of the stories (myths) from around the world.
The Samguk yusa (Korean pronunciation: [sʰam.ɡuk̚.ju.sa]) or Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms is a collection of legends, folktales and historical accounts relating to the Three Kingdoms of Korea (Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla), as well as to other periods and states before, during and after the Three Kingdoms period.
Africa is a vast and geographically varied continent, Africa is home to a great many cultures and to a thousand or more languages. Although no single set of myths and legends unites this diverse population, different culture groups and regions share some common elements.
Like myths from other parts of the world, those of the African peoples reflect beliefs and values. But while the mythologies of many cultures are carefully preserved relics of ancient times, African myths and legends are still a meaningful part of everyday life. Some African myths deal with universal themes, such as the origin of the world and the fate of the individual after death. Yet many spring from the continent's own settings, conditions, and history.
